The Fox News Republican Debate This Evening (Political Season reaaaly kicks off).

The people:

  • Donald Trump, Rand Paul, Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, John Kasich, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, and Mike Huckabee.

The topics: Electability, Abortion and Women’s rights, Immigration, Isis, The War in Iraq, The Iran Agreement, the military, Obamacare and the Role of the Federal Government, cut the size of Government, Curriculum Reform…etc, etc.

Here’s the long and short of it so far:

The US Sucks right now. We need to go to War with the Middle East again. We need to let people die. We should let Mothers die if keeping a pregnancy will kill them. We should give unborn children rights under the 5th and 14th amendments and recognize their personhood. We should get rid of social security. Stop paying for Obamacare and repeal it, make gay marriage illegal, cut programs that give people food and a somewhat decent life when they can’t do it themselves for whatever reason.

I’m sorry guys. I really am. I thought I was going to be able to go through this and not want to punch my screen and my TV at the same time but I cannot. I’m going to continue watching and I’m going to continue tweeting, but know this: The Republicans have learned absolutely nothing from their losses. There are a lot of people who are into Donald Trump because he plays to people’s fears and their inability to educate themselves on the actual issues. He’s running the show right now. *sigh*

I feel for you, Republicans. I really, really do. You have some guys who show some decent lean toward your issues but you also have a lot of people on this stage showing off hatred and a disconnect from the majority of the people in the US….I hope it gets better for you.

  1. I didn’t watch for just that reason, I didn’t want to feel like I wanted to throw something through the television. I’m already dealing with enough idiots on Facebook that believe all the propaganda that the Republicans & Fox news is spreading. Lately, since I use my cell phone for Facebook because it’s easier for me, I’ve had to charge my battery 4 times a day trying to educate people between what is fact & what is fiction. Some people believe that just because something is on the Internet or Fox news it has to be true. There are times I swear to myself I’m going to delete Facebook because I just can’t stand to see the ignorance & stupidity of people. I stay because I remember that I have friends to stay in touch with. It still tries my patience though when people come out & say some of the most, stupid things I’ve ever heard in my life. There are days where I think Facebook should have a button that dispenses a Valium for when you get stressed by all the crap you see! I’m so glad I didn’t watch the debate because I would have needed a handful by the time it was half over. LOL!
